So far I've caught two mice. Fortunately, I think I have the problem solved. I bought metal rings that fit around my pipes to cover the holes in the cabinets. I never knew it, but these things are called either scutcheons or flanges, depending on who you talk to. I just need to screw these things down, and then I'll consider myself mouse-proof.

I wish l had been as smart as you when l discovered l had a rat in my old old house! I lived by myself and l had no idea what the droppings were. The first time l saw a rat eating out of my dog's bowl, l screamed so loudly, nothing could make me feel safe again. Then shortly after that, l discovered a deer had made his home under my deck! That's when l started to think about selling the house, which l did about 4 months later! I stayed in the same neighborhood, just one street over. Looking back, perhaps l should have fixed the problem, instead of getting a more expensive albatross! Oh well, live and learn!
