OK, so the garden is in full bloom. Just as I get excited to start to harvest everything and realize the savings of not having to buy anymore vegetables, something starts eating my lettuce and tomaotes. I mean, ALL my lettuce. And a a couple tomatoes every night. Just the ripe ones. I have a fence around by planting beds, but something is apparently crawling under them. I assume it is a groundhog, as they are all over the neighborhood. They're cute and they need to live too, but it's very disheartening to do all this work and have it spoiled. I will try to tack the fence down to the ground to see if that helps.

Driveway Update
So I got lots of quotes on the project. Lots of quotes. Since it entails curbwork, it's going to cost me more than I thought it would. I received quotes from $3100 to $5400. $5400?!?! That one was out of line. The company who gave me the best price is actually the one I feel most comfortable with, so I'm going with them. Here are the specs:
- remove apron from existing driveway
- clear out land for new driveway on other side of yard (10' by 45')
- break curb for new driveway
- pour new curb where old driveway curb cut is
It'll need to be done in phases, and I still need to get the permits. I hope that doesn't take long so I can get this started ASAP.
